It is my understanding that the VBA portion will be removed soon (it&#039;s still there in 10). I am betting that ESRI is going to move everything completely to Python with possibly some code borrowing from the Eclipse people (Eclipse + PyDev).

But then again, they can keep VBA around as long as they want, knowing Microsoft will not be releasing new versions or fixes, but that sounds like a security nightmare.</description>

Or does it mean that ESRI will simply not enhance the VBA library any further than what it already is. It sounds scary when you think that a simple Visual Basic Editor will no longer come with ArcMap.</description>
